Is there a problem with using DHCP but setting up the lease time to "unlimited"?  What is the difference between doing it this way and just using Static IP Addressing?

You are maintaining your local DNS.  For testing a new app, you want to make specified workstations go to a different server than the one specified in DNS, but you can't modify the app code.  You also can't change the DNS entry on the server because it may cause everybody in the company to go to the new temporary server.  So, you just want to have a small group of workstations to be redirected to a different server.  How would you do this?  Explain your answer.

Assume you are the network administrator at that company, what do you have to do to make sure there is a smooth transition? Explain in detail.

Is your home network ready for the switch-over?  Find out if your networking devices including computers/tablets/gaming systems/etc are ready for IPv6.  You may need to research on the manufacturer website to find this info.  Please post the link to the information that show whether or not your networking devices are ready for IPv6.  For example http://www.linksys.com/en-us/ipv6 shows which Linksys router are IPv6 ready.
